  1. Museum and Gallery Practices Certificate Info Session. Wednesday, September 15, at 3-3:45pm. The Museum and Gallery Practices Certificate includes a special track for history majors and is a great way to learn about how museums operate, gain work experience and build your résumé while earning your BA. Umoja Center Open House, Sept. 17 and 24. The Umoja Center for Pan African Student Excellence will hold 1) an in-person open house September 17 from 4-4:30pm and 4:40-5:10pm, and 2) a virtual open house (registration link here) September 24 from 4-5pm. Check It: Humboldt's Sexual Violence Bystander Intervention program seeks volunteers. There are many opportunities to get involved with CHECK IT, Humboldt’s sexual violence bystander intervention program. 1) Attend CHECK IT's Virtual Volunteer Team Retreat on Saturday, Sept. 18, from 10am-1pm. Register at this link. Free t-shirts for all those who attend! Learn more about CHECK IT, bystander intervention, volunteer projects and ways to create a more consent-centered culture. 2) Attend CHECK IT Weekly Volunteer Meetings. Every Friday from 1-2pm, beginning Sept. 10. Volunteers create graphics/artwork, develop resources, and engage in social media projects, and other projects of interest.
