1) Education Speaker TEAS, August 24

The School of Education will again be using DHSI grant money to award students $300 for attending 10 sessions in a professional development, community-building model for future educators. Students from social work, early childhood and early childhood special education, education pathways, liberal studies elementary education, elementary education, secondary education, special education, the masters in education, and faculty are all welcome! TEAS values community, cultural competence, and professional confidence. Our first session Wednesday is a small panel of alums to give advice about student teaching.

3) Fall 2022 Community Engagement Student Fellowship

Do you enjoy connecting with others? Are you interested in event planning and program coordination that provides Cal Poly Humboldt students with opportunities to engage in the community? The CESF program is a semester-long initiative specifically designed to support student leaders advancing service, service-learning, and community engagement at universities and colleges throughout the state. If selected for this program, you will be one of two fellows at Cal Poly Humboldt providing leadership in the realm of community engagement on campus. Upon successfully completing a term of service of 35-50 hours over the course of the Fall 2022 semester, you will receive a $500 scholarship and have the opportunity to share your work with other CESF fellows from across the state of California. 4) MA Program in History and New Media

The Department of History at California State University, San Marcos offers an innovative M.A. degree that combines traditional graduate historical instruction with training in digital history. Founded in 2008, we have placed several of our terminal M.A. graduates in tenure-track positions in community college, while others have received full fellowships for doctoral programs or launched careers in historic museums, libraries or archives. We have special strength in U.S. history, as well as in fields such as film and video game history, Middle Eastern history, ancient history and comparative history.
